There’s a hysterical quote running around the internets that was supposedly an excerpt from Ronald Reagan’s recently published diaries:
A moment I’ve been dreading. George brought his ne’re-do-well son around this morning and asked me to find the kid a job. Not the political one who lives in Florida. The one who hangs around here all the time looking shiftless. This so-called kid is already almost 40 and has never had a real job. Maybe I’ll call Kinsley over at The New Republic and see if they’ll hire him as a contributing editor or something. That looks like easy work.
Unfortunately, it turns out the quote was a piece of Kinsley satire that someone mistakenly (or perhaps intentionally) reported as authentic, as becomes fairly obvious if you read the original column. Still, it definitely made me laugh when I saw it.

Nice catch that it wasn’t real. I read it on political wire, he played it as if it was real. And he’s since deleted it from his blog. Evil.
Nice win last night, by the way.
