M’eh, maybe. Or maybe no one cares. I’m in no way convinced that “openly making fun of darkies” costs votes. If anything, I’d bet there are just as many closeted racists out there who sympathize more with his plight (being mocked for “slipping” and expressing racist views) as there are people who will be outraged by the comment.
